Commercial Chillers: Precision Cooling for Demanding Applications
Filtrine’s commercial chillers are purpose-built for mission-critical environments where performance and reliability are non-negotiable. These units support industries ranging from healthcare and pharmaceuticals to food production and high-tech manufacturing — all with the precision cooling required for uninterrupted operations.
Whether you’re looking for a commercial air cooled chiller, a recirculating commercial water chiller, or a closed-loop system built for demanding industrial applications, Filtrine delivers the flexibility and durability needed to meet your exact requirements.
What Is a Commercial Chiller System Used For?
A commercial chiller system removes heat from equipment or processes to maintain performance, safety, and consistency. Filtrine chillers provide close temperature control for a wide variety of applications, including:
- Medical Imaging and Diagnostics: MRI, CT, and X-ray machines rely on precise cooling to prevent downtime and preserve image quality.
- Pharmaceutical and Biotech: Supports clean rooms, reactors, and lab equipment with stable, contamination-free chilled water.
- Commercial Bakeries: Filtrine’s commercial water chiller for bakery production ensures ideal dough temperature control for product consistency.
- Laser Cooling and Electronics: Prevents overheating in delicate systems requiring exact thermal regulation.
- Industrial and R&D Environments: Keeps vacuum pumps, spectrometers, and high-tech equipment running efficiently.
Types of Filtrine Commercial Chillers
Filtrine manufactures a wide range of commercial chiller units, each engineered for maximum efficiency and longevity:
- Closed-Loop Chillers: Ideal for protecting equipment by isolating clean coolant from external contamination.
- Open-Loop Chillers: Designed for applications where water is drawn from and returned to a tank or sump.
- Recirculating Chillers: Provide constant temperature control for sensitive devices and laboratory equipment.
- Commercial Air Cooled Chillers: Compact, efficient, and ideal for installations without access to water cooling systems.
Each unit can be configured for indoor or outdoor use, low-noise requirements, and specialty applications like explosion-proof or portable models.

After the coil is rolled and welded to the storage tank along with the piping, it is up to me to assemble it. I add and tighten the bands, put the end caps on and insulate the tank before it heads over to plumbing. For 11 years, I have been making sure each tank is built to Filtrine’s exacting standards.
Marcos, Filtrine Manufacturing Company
I’ve been at Filtrine for over 20 years. Currently I run the sheet metal department where all the frames, bracketing and external parts are fabricated. Working at Filtrine gives me the opportunity to use my creative talent in areas of operation and design. This allows me to contribute to the functionality and appearance of Filtrine products. We use a variety of sheet metals such as galvanized steel, mild steel, aluminum and bronze.
