Apprentices will learn skills unique to the liquid chiller process, as well as general manufacturing skills sought after by local employers. A blend of hands-on work and classroom education, Filtrine’s Apprenticeship is a competency-based training program focused on three areas of manufacturing: Plumbing, Refrigeration and Electrical Work.

18 years or older; pre-apprenticeship program preferred

Learning Objectives:
- Plumbing:
Learn to solder, braze, bend piping, and read plumbing diagrams. Learn the components and tools used to map and construct the plumbing of a liquid chiller. - Refrigeration:
Learn to solder, braze, bend piping, and read refrigeration diagrams. Learn about refrigerant and the components used in the refrigeration process. - Electrical:
Learn to read electrical diagrams, to wire electrical components, and to troubleshoot electrical problems.
Outcomes:
Learn fundamental skills through hands-on, real-world experience to prepare apprentices for a career in manufacturer. Demonstrate competency in plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical skills.
