Keene, NH – Filtrine Manufacturing Company was selected by the New Hampshire Business Review’s editor as one of the state’s best companies with which to do business. The Best of Business Awards, known as the BOBs, recognize companies in over 90 business-to-business categories. Filtrine was singled out as an editor’s pick in the category of Best Effort by Company to Revive NH’s Welder Workforce.

Filtrine started the welding courses 20 years ago on its shop floor in partnership with the Keene Community Education Program. Community members in high school and older learn specialized welding skills using Filtrine’s equipment. One of the goals is to get potential employees interested in working at Filtrine as there aren’t many places to learn this particular type of welding. Filtrine also offers a welding apprenticeship program through Cheshire Career Center in Keene, NH.
Filtrine’s welding program is also featured in The “Just One Thing” Campaign sponsored by New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility. The purpose is to challenge New Hampshire businesses to consider incorporating a sustainability initiative into their operations.
