Keene, NH – In April 2016, Filtrine received a Certificate of Appreciation “From the Agua4All program team for your outstanding commitment, dedication, and support that has made this project a success. Your commitment to the health and wellness of low-income and at-risk California communities is worthy of recognition.”

This program was launched because of the concern that rural sections of California lack access to safe drinking water. In 2014, the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) with support of The California Endowment launched the Agua4All program. The goal was to dispense drinking water using bottle filling stations to a few of California’s South Kern County schools.

Filtrine was contacted because of its popular stainless steel Model B103 bottle filling stations. Built in the US from durable materials, these units can stand up to heavy use. This sustainable “green” alternative to traditional drinking fountains discourages the use of disposable plastic water bottles, and can be located almost anywhere inside an office building, school, fitness club, health care and hospitality facility. The program director selected this model as part of the Agua4All pilot program. It was considered such a success that the program is expanding to other South Kern communities.

Founded in 1978, RCAC provides training, technical and financial resources and advocacy so rural communities can achieve their goals.
