High-Capacity "Filling Stations" Eliminate Throw-Away Bottles In Food Service Areas
THE PROBLEM
Most people don’t drink "tap water" anymore. As a result, dining areas are cluttered with throw-away water bottles. Everywhere you look valuable space is being used to transport, store and dispose of water bottles. It's a LEED nightmare.
THE SUSTAINABLE ALTERNATIVE
Specify "Filling Stations" to fill cups, glasses, pitchers, personal containers and carafes with filtrine water. In other words, serve "bottled water quality" without the bottles.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
- Install 100-300 cup "Filling Stations" in convenient locations throughout the dining area.
- Select an In-Wall Chiller/Purifier sized to serve one quart per day per person.
- Connect Chiller/Purifier to "Filling Stations" by running flexible, insulated copper tubing loop in the plenum above ceiling. Include coffee makers, ice makers and food service outlets in the loop.
Will you earn LEED Credits? You be the judge...
-
Energy required to manufacture, transport, chill, store and dispose of
plastic water bottles is eliminated.
- Almost 100 billion plastic water bottles are dumped in landfills each year. Refilling
personal containers will conserve materials and resources.
- Storage space for water bottles is a waste of materials and resources.
- Water bottles are open containers, part water, part "secondhand" air.
Eliminate open bottles to improve the indoor environment.
- Filling Stations & Chiller/Purifier/Circulators carry a Lifetime Warranty.
They are the sustainable alternative to throw-away plastic bottles.
